Multi-cavity small parts compression die contains many small cavities arranged in a grid pattern in a single die plate, producing dozens of small components per press cycle. The die is shown mounted on a CNC machining center during manufacture.

Cavity Layout

The die plate is machined with a matrix of identical small cavities — typically 20 to 100 cavities depending on part size. Each cavity forms one small SMC or BMC part. The cavities are fed by a common runner system or by individual pre-form charges. Ejector pins remove all parts simultaneously.
